Technical Symposium

The CAGS Technical Symposium was held in Beijing on 17 and 18 April, 2012. The two day symposium provided an opportunity to review the outcomes and achievements of the CAGS project over its two and a half year duration, discuss international cooperation and progress on CCS in China and globally, and consider opportunities and needs for future cooperation. Seventy participants from Chinese, Australian and international organisations gathered in Beijing to take part in this event.

The symposium discussed the following issues:

• Review of activities and key outcomes from CAG Phase 1;
• Outcome from CAGS research projects;
• Overview of international cooperation in CCS;
• Review of current CCS projects;
• Next steps for CCS in China.
